Federal Health Policy Update for June 28

The following is the latest health policy news from the federal government for June 21-28.  Some of the language used below is taken directly from government documents. The Courts The Supreme Court has overturned the court’s own decision in the 1984 case of Chevron U. S. A. Inc. v. House Members Protest Site-Neutral Payment Proposal

138 members of the House of Representatives have written to Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services administrator Seema Verma to protest CMS’s proposal to extend Medicare outpatient site-neutral payment policies to off-campus, provider-based outpatient departments specifically exempted from such policies by Congress under the Bipartisan Budget Act of 2015.
